Yawn! Yes, it happens to us all. Sometimes, we are forced to do tedious tasks, and we would rather lie on the beach or play a computer game. If you cannot run away and leave work on your desk, here is what to do when you're bored.

First of all, accept that you're bored, and take a break.

This break should be amusing, though, and if you pick one of the following ways to kill your boredom, you should even be able to do it without feeling guilty.

Ready?

1 - Read and post on niche relevant forums. While this might start out as a duty, before long you'll find that it is indeed both very amusing and giving. You will be able to network, and you might meet valuable contacts, which will serve you well in years to come.

Make it a habit to fill up the pause between two articles with a visit on at least one forum. After that, you will probably have more inspiration to write the second article. If not, at least you had a pleasant break.

2 - Visit your Facebook wall. Don't spend more than 15 minutes here. Remember, it's a break, not your day job. Comment on your friends' status, or write something witty on your wall. We all like a good laugh, and it's excellent for your health, too.

Facebook is a great place to network. Some people even manage to make money there, but for now you should just go and have fun and relax.

3 - Play a word game. You can find plenty online, and they will give your brain something healthy to chew on, while you're procrastinating.

Afterward, if you need to write articles, or content to a home page, it will be a walk in the park.

4 - Walk the dog - even if you don't have one. Your pet will be happy, and it's healthy for you. Besides, getting some fresh air clears the mind, and your thoughts will have time to flow freely.

After the walk, you will no longer feel bored, but you're ready to attack your daily challenges with renewed energy.

5 - Step up on the Wii. Alternatively, do jumping jacks for a minute if you don't own one. Getting some exercise makes the brain juices flow better, and if you're playing tennis, bowling, or boxing on your Wii, I can guarantee that this is a great thing to do when you're bored. You'll have lots of fun and feel good both while doing it and afterward things for 13 year olds to do when bored at home.

Will this remove all boredom?

Probably not, but you might be able to make some money, just like I did.

Actually, I'm convinced that you can learn a lot from my own experience. I started out in a foreign country, not knowing the language and, just by working two hours per day on one specific domain, I designed a home page that earns me well over $1,000 per month on autopilot.
